What Mail does
Connect Gmail and Microsoft 365 mailboxes through one API: inbound webhooks, send on behalf.
Hosted sign-in for Google and Microsoft
Send your user to the sign-in page; they approve access with Google or Microsoft, and you get a grant id back. IMAP works too.
Send as your user
One call sends from the user’s own address, with optional open and click tracking from Hobby.
New mail arrives as a webhook
message.created, thread.replied, message.bounce_detected and the tracking events post to your endpoint, signed with HMAC-SHA256.
For developers
Every request takes an account API key: Authorization: Bearer sy_live_…. Keys can be limited to Mail.
Send on behalf of a grant
A grant is one connected mailbox. Send with an account API key; the message goes out from the grant’s own address.

Which mailboxes can connect?
Gmail and Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Outlook, Yahoo, and any mailbox that offers IMAP and SMTP with an app password. The connect page detects the provider from the address.
Do I need my own Google or Microsoft app?
For one-click sign-in with Google or Microsoft, yes: you register your app once and paste its client ID and secret, so your users see your name and you keep the relationship. Without one, people connect with an app password over IMAP.
I already use Nylas. How much changes?
The request and webhook formats are Nylas v3’s. Change the API host, the client ID and the secret; your code stays as it is.
How many mailboxes and sends do I get?
Free connects 3 mailboxes and sends 1,000 messages a month. Hobby connects 10, Business 250. Extra mailboxes are an add-on.
